The rules for using VEXIS.
These are the basic rules for server owners who add VEXIS and members who verify with it. They're short on purpose.
Last updated 31 October 2026What VEXIS is
VEXIS is a Discord bot and website that helps server owners spot alt accounts and people coming back after a ban. VEXIS is not made by, or affiliated with, Discord.
If you run a server
- You're in charge of your server's rules, including what VEXIS does when it finds a match.
- VEXIS gives you a strong hint, not proof. Families, schools and phone networks can share a connection, so please use Hold for review if you're not sure, and give people a way to reach a moderator.
- Don't use VEXIS to harass people, or to target members for reasons that have nothing to do with keeping your server safe.
- Follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
If you're verifying
- Only verify with your own Discord account.
- Don't try to trick, overload or break the check.
- Each server makes its own decisions. If you think a server got it wrong, talk to its moderators. VEXIS can't overrule them.
Your information
How we handle your information is explained in our privacy policy. The key point: we never save your IP address.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep VEXIS accurate and online, but it's provided as is. It may miss some alt accounts or occasionally link accounts that belong to different people. We're not responsible for actions a server takes based on VEXIS results.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Server owners can remove VEXIS anytime by kicking the bot. We may stop providing VEXIS to servers that break these rules.
